We bought 2 of these nightstands for our bedroom and one came in perfect condition, the other one had a broken drawer slide. The slide is made out of wood and was cracked by the nail they used to fasten it to the cabinet. It was an easy fix, wood glue and clamp. It works great and love the look.Item arrived with a chunk of wood missing on the base, the trim on the bottom is loose and it is wobbly. The door will not latch all the way so sits slightly ajar and won't close all the way. There is also a strong smell coming from the wood like it was just stained before shipping. I like the look of it and the price wasn't too terrible for solid wood construction so that is why I bought it. It said solid wood, which it is, but quality control for assembly seems poor. For the money I paid, it should at least not be chipped, crooked or unable to close a door. I will not purchase any more items from this seller.Ordered two at $128.68 plus tax for each. One arrived unharmed. Both boxes were marked fragile and this side up for the top to be kept upright. One arrived in broken bits on the bottom. The front bottom part and the two side bottom parts had broken off and we’re loose in the box. In addition, one of the side bottom parts was broken in half. The top corners each had cardboard corners. It seems that adding these cheap cardboard corners on all four of the bottom corners could help a great deal. Each unit had plastic wrap that went around the front, back, and sides over a thin layer of a foam packing sheet.The bottom front and two side pieces were originally attached by two thin staple like prongs on each end and a very slight bead of glue. I straightened out the metal prongs where I could (some had broken) and used gorilla wood glue to properly secure all three pieces and to repair the one side piece that had broken in half.The overall quality of the items was of better quality than I had expected. The drawers do not have slider stops (just the drawer inserted) and the hardware and attached doors work just fine. Had priced similar units elsewhere. The price is good. Giving three stars because I kept both units and did the repairs myself. If you don’t mind having to fix things, this should be OK for you.
